MUSC hosting first women’s health day Thursday

The Medical University of South Carolina will hold its first Women's Health Research Day on Thursday, April 18 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the MUSC Institute of Pyschiatry.  

The event will feature lectures ranging in topic from gender differences in drug abuse to postpartum depression. Speakers include Dr. Etta Pisano of MUSC, Dr. Harriet de Wit of the University of Chicago, Dr. Cora Lee Wetherington of the National Institute of Drug Abuse and Dr. Kathleen Brady of MUSC.
