A new School Crime Tip Line is available to Horry County students and parents to anonymously report information about school safety.

The tip line, accessed by calling replaces a previous service and is monitored by members of the Horry County Police Department’s School Resource Officer Unit. Callers are asked to relay as much information as possible to include the name of the schools and persons involved, as well as what type of activities that are alleged and when the activities may occur or have occurred.

While not required, callers are encouraged to leave their contact information in the event additional information is needed. Calls of an urgent nature should still be directed to 911.

Types of things that should be reported are vandalism, bullying, harassment, weapons, threats, physical or sexual abuse, gang activity, or suicide.  The number to call is (843) 915-7767.

Horry County School has put together a flier with all of this information, found here.
