Murrells Inlet bank robbers still at large (Update: HCPD turning to Facebook for tips)

Horry County Police Department

Update 6/2 10:36am: To add a little social media aspect to this story, the Horry County Police Department has turned to Facebook for clues.

The HCPD has set up a Facebook page for locals to report or talk about crimes they may have witnessed. Again, WMBF is on top of it and has the full write-up of the story and check out their viedo below.

As you know we here at TheDigitel love social media and all things web, so we think this is a great step for the Horry County Police Department. Make sure to fan their Facebook page.

First Report 6/2 8:40am:  We currently don't cover a lot of crime related stories on TheDigitel Myrtle Beach, but the Horry County Police Department is asking for the public's help on locating two men that robbed a BB&T bank at gunpoint in Murrells Inlet yesterday.

As you can see from the surveillance video stills, these men entered the bank with their weapons drawn and fired shots while they were inside. They should be considered extremely dangerous. WMBF has more details about the robbery and the suspects. See the video here.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Horry County Police Department immediately or you can leave an anonymous tip at 843-915-TIPS.
