Downtown shooting victim in critical condition (updated x2)

Update November 3:

According to The Post and Courier, investigators have charged 17-year-old Anthony Jaquez Coleman with assault and battery with intent to kill and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Coleman is being charged as an adult.

Update October 23:

The Post and Courier has a fresh report that identifies the victim as 31 year-old Corey Rivers.

In addition, it was determined that shots were fired not in front of the East Bay Post Office, but in front of the Wraggborough Homes apartments.

 


First reporting:

Police responded to a call reporting shots fired at the East Bay Post Office Thursday night around 9:30 and said the victim was shot outside his home. 

 

He was transported to MUSC and was reported to be in critical condition.

Police were looking for three men, said to be wearing dark clothing, who fled the scene.
