Made up of kids in grades six through eight, the Summerville-based Robo Knights team placed second at the South Carolina Robotics Competition — and with it earned a chance to go to the national competition, but they need a little help.

The Rollings Middle School of the Arts kids hope to put their robotic Lego merits to the test at the competition slated for May 3-6 in Lakeland, Florida, but they need some help raising cash.

Check out the swell video up top to learn about the team and what they're up to.

If you're willing to lend some effort, know they are,  "looking to raise funds of any amount, from businesses, organizations and private citizens alike, and appreciate every donation that is made. We will gladly list those who have sponsored us on our website and thank you every chance we get! For larger donations, we plan on adding your logo to the team shirts that we will all be wearing to Nationals!"
