Charleston Cancer Center Expands Medical Team

Charleston, S.C.– Charleston Cancer Center, the area’s only freestanding independent cancer center, has hired Ashley A. Jeter, M.D. to join the team.  Dr. Jeter is board-certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology.   She is currently accepting new patients. Prior to joining the Charleston Cancer Center practice, Dr. Jeter worked for Texas Oncology in Austin, Texas.  She completed her internal medicine residency and hematology and oncology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.  She attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center for medical school.  Her undergraduate studies in biology were completed at University of Mississippi.

 

Volunteering both nationally and internationally, Dr. Jeter has used her medical expertise and experience to offer aid on medical mission trips to Tanzania and Mexico.  

 

Dr. Jeter is currently a member of many professional boards and organizations including—the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Medial Association, the American College of Physicians and Gold Humanism Honor Society.
