Wildfire smokes out Carolina Forest (Photos)

Thanks to no wind or humidity, smoke from the wildfire in Carolina Forest is hanging around the area.

According to WMBF News, the 4 acre brush fire just behind the Carolina Forest neighborhood Walker's Woods is contained and smoldering. Authorities seem pretty confident the fire was set intentionally. More details are here.

A peek at the weather forecast shows winds should pick up a bit over the weekend to help clear the smoke. In the meantime, driving in the smoke can be dangerous as it is thicker than a typical fog and diffuses the bright sunlight. Drive extra carefully and keep outdoor activities to a minimum if the smoke is thick in your neighborhood.
