Horry County open for bids on MYR creative services, marketing

Kaleb Fulgham

Got what it takes to design an identity package for the Myrtle Beach International Airport? Here's your shot.

Thanks to an open and competitive bidding process, Horry County Department of Airports is looking for quotes to help them re-brand and promote the new airport. According to the Request For Proposal (PDF):

The HCDA is currently in a process of evolution and experiencing dynamic change.  Energized by  a new Airport Director, a $118 million terminal capacity enhancement project (TCEP) and several years of record-breaking passenger activity, the HCDA is looking to completely re-brand and develop new and exciting marketing tools consistent with its current activities.

There's more details and requirements in the RFP. Deadline for submissions is August 24th, 2011. You can see what other projects Horry County has open for bidding on the Procurement Department web page.

I'd like to see more of these open requests for bids in the Myrtle Beach area. It gives priority to locally owned vendors and an excellent opportunity for start-ups trying to make a name for themselves.
