Michael Perez hired as Trattoria Lucca's new chef de cuisine

Chef-owner Ken Vedrinski welcomes Michael Perez as chef de cuisine to Trattoria Lucca.

Perez brings a wealth of experience with him from revered restaurants across the U.S. including N.Y.C. - based Scarpetta and Tabla in Portland, OR.

Perez was hand-selected by Scarpetta’s chef-owner Scott Conant, who also serves as a judge on the Food Network show, Chopped, to join his elite team in 2010. At Scarpetta, Perez specialized in making pasta as well as helping Conant develop and prepare his menus, most notably at the newest Scarpetta location at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.

Under Vedrinski’s guidance, Perez will cook on the line and assist with making Lucca’s award-winning daily pasta preparations as well as source the local fish and vegetables.
