Update July 12: Elliotborough Mini Bar is officially open for business.

So far the feedback has been great and Mini Bar is turning out to be a real neighborhood gem. With talks of block parties and events in the months to come, how could you go wrong?

Currently, no food is being served. Until the kitchen is up and running, however, patrons are welcome and encouraged to munch on Chex Mix straight out of the bag.

Business hours are:

  • Monday through Thursday - 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday - 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday - Closed

Update June 29: Enoteca has been sold and will soon be known as the Mini Bar. New owner Anna Faenza plans to serve a more diverse offering of wine and beer as well as a few menu items to tide patrons over.

I'll point you over to the post in the Charleston City Paper for the deets.

Update January 28: Enoteca, Ken Vedrinski’s charming Italian wine bar offering rare Southern Italian wines, beer and cheeses in an intimate setting is now doing happy hour.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., Enoteca will offer half off select bottles of Italian wine and beer.

If you've yet to try this charming little spot, now is a great time to jump on the bandwagon.

Update October 29: If you've yet to try this great new dining spot, join Enoteca and Palmetto Distributing next Wednesday, November 3 for a wine tasting event featuring five classic southern Italian wines.

The wine tasting will run from 5 to 7 p.m. and will only cost you $10. Sounds like a great deal to me.

First reporting: Ken Vedrinski has already secured his reputation with his tucked away Trattoria Lucca spot, and now he looking to do a repeat by opening a wine and cheese spot dubbed "Enoteca" just a stones throw away from Lucca.

The Charleston City Paper has the rundown on the spot that should be open within a week; read their post over here.

The new location is at 18 Percy Street.

Pro tip: Enoteca is an Italian word essentially meaning "wine bar."
