James Island venue the Oasis is undergoing a name change and will hereby be known as the Edge.

And this isn't the first time that the venue has changed names. In 2003, it transformed from the Reef into the Oasis. Earlier this year rumor was that the Oasis would become the Green Room, but last month Oasis owner Steve Hildebrand revealed the brand-new name--and the Edge's new schedule.

The Edge's grand opening will take place Friday, June 24th, and Saturday, June 25th. On Friday, come out to see Atlanta's heavy-rock act Uncrowned--for no cover charge. On Saturday, cough up $5 to rock out with Atlanta's Mötley Crüe tribute band Mötley Crüde.
