The Charleston City Paper reports on the decision from the Music Farm to cancel reggae artist Buju Banton's show due to his controversial lyrics involving very serious homophobic remarks.

The song in question, "Boom Bye Bye," talks about shooting gay men in the head and setting them on fire if they get too close.

Local nonprofit, The Alliance for Full Acceptance, sent out a major call to action e-mail which had a lot to do with the cancellation of the show. The Music Farm has yet to announce a replacement show.
