Rawle Murdy wins Telly Award for 'Bringing History to Life' with animated Patriots Point video

Rawle Murdy has received a Telly, an award recognizing great film and video productions, for its Patriots Point Development Authority video celebrating the historic battleship the USS Yorktown.

The winning video, titled “Bringing History to Life,” depicts a high-action, animated series featuring South Pacific-based battle scenes that the USS Yorktown was engaged in during World War II. The animation brings to life the intensity and sounds of war, while educating viewers about the battleship’s historic past. The video is also interspliced with real footage and images from that period of time aboard the USS Yorktown.

“We pride ourselves on using the most innovative technology available for our work” said Rawle Murdy President Bruce D. Murdy.  “Plus, it was exciting to bring to life such a significant part of American history through animation. The feel, look and sound of the video really provide the imagination with a taste of how it might have been.”

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, executive director of the Telly Awards. “Rawle Murdy’s accomplishment illustrates its creativity, skill, and dedication to its craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”

Rawle Murdy has worked with Patriots Point Development Authority for more than six years.
