Post and Courier columnist and children's book author, Fran Hawk, has a new book that takes a look at a rare phenomena here in the Lowcountry - fall.

In her book, Count Down To Fall, readers learn about the season change, the names of leaves and the trees from which they fall. The book also has a For Creative Minds educational section that includes: plant parts, leaves the shape of it all, what good are plants? and a match the leaves activity.

The Post and Courier has a piece on Hawk and her book.
