The City Gallery at Waterfront Park, 34 Prioleau Street, and the Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting Street, are preparing to host exhibitions commemorating the Civil War Sesquicentennial.

The exhibitions will explore various aspects of the Civil War, randing from slavery to the battles themselves.

The City Gallery's exhibition, From Civil War to Civil Rights, South Carolina Perspectives on the War that Changed America, consists of two separate shows that will run April 8th through May 8th. The Gibbes Museum will also host two differing exhibitions focusing on the Civil War.

The Charleston City Paper has more in-depth information about the exhibitions; check it out here.
