Update November 17: With record attendance, spirited atmosphere, and phenomenal fundraising success, The Fur Ball Roaring 20's party established the annual event's position as one of Charleston's premier charitable galas.

Over 350 guests arrived in their best Gatsby glamour or Flapper fabulous dress. Fabulous jazz music filled the hallway throughout the silent auction and cocktail hour, during which guests enjoyed the signature cocktail, a blood orange Manhattan, created just for the event. Upon entry in to the ballroom, guests were transported to the dazzling 20's by Dance FX The Charleston Dance Project, whose incredibly talented dancers donated their skill and time to the occasion. The live auction, led by Tom Crawford and emceed by ABC News 4's Victoria Hansen, had never-before-seen levels of participation and bidding and included items such as a 6-day African Safari, a one week stay in a glorious 3 bedroom Penthouse at The Crane on the beach in Barbados, and a package for two to the Ultimate BMW Driving Experience.

Following a heart warming video of a puppy rescue prepared just for the event, Tom Crawford encouraged the guests to bid with their hearts by supporting a shelter pet for $100 a month. The guests' commitment to the Pet Helpers mission was immediately apparent. With much of the audience participating, over $35,000 was raised in just a few short minutes.

Overall, the event raised more than $195,000 for the animals, making the Fur Ball Roaring 20's the most successful Fur Ball to date. Pet Helpers is humbled by the incredible support of our generous sponsors and attendees.
