"Can you see the rainbow from there?"

It has been a struggle to see a silver lining after the powerful earthquake rocked Japan back on April 6, 2011. However local photographer, Scott Smallin is helping shed some light on on the rebuilding process by being apart of the international art show "Can you see the rainbow from there."

Scott Smallin, a native of Horry County, has shared two of his black and white photography pieces to the exhibit. Focusing on the contrast of black and white in comparison to the bright colors of the rainbow the art exhibit showcases the world through lens, paintbrush or pen. 

With over 250 works on display from professional and armature artist, the "Can you see the rainbow from there?" art exhibit is a benefit for the victims of the Japanese earthquake. 

The exhibit runs May 18 through May 30, 2011. From 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 3331 Arts Chiyoda / 1F Main Gallery, Tokyo, Japan. The admission is free.
