In his weekly architecture column, The Post and Courier's Robert Behre chats about how a new set of condos on the east side of Concord Park was allowed to build a little bit taller than normal.

Basically the city said: If you make the Anson House prettier to pedestrians we'll let you build a couple of penthouses that you normally couldn't.

It's the first building that's had a chance to take of new city rules that encourage developers to build with those at the street-level in mind.
