Mount Pleasant native named first-ever Levi's Girl

Meghan Smith, a 23-year-old Mount Pleasant native, has been chosen to become the first-ever Levi's Girl, serving as the online face and voice for Levi's women apparel for the next six months.

Smith entered the Facebook contest hosted by Levi's, then was chosen from five finalists as the overall winner after receiving more than 500,000 total votes.

She'll soon move out to San Francisco to work for the company and focus on social media efforts by engaging with Levi's female fan base. According to The Post and Courier's post:

She also will serve as the style ambassador for Levi's women's line, posting inspiring looks and designs and channeling her ideas, outlook and discoveries to millions of people around the world. She will also be active in the community by participating in news and live events for the brand.
