Heirloom Books, a new bookstore devoted to food and the culinary world, will open its doors on April 1st at 123 King Street.

Local foodies are surely salivating over the news that a bookstore devoted exclusively to them is coming out way--in just several short days! You won't just find cookbooks at Heirloom Books. Also prepare yourself for a variety of prints, vintage first-editions, photographs, and other books and novelties catered to the culinary arts. And that's not all--Heirloom plans to host demonstrations, classes, author signings, and art showing in their store.

Heirloom Books is composed of a trio of food lovers: Brad Norton and Bryan Lewis of the Palmetto Distributing Company; and Carlye Dougherty, former executive editor of Kiawah Island's Legends magazine.

The cherry on top? Heirloom plans to add a small garden shop and serve as a distribution pick-up spot for Community Supported Agriculture programs.
