After a near James Beard win, a chat with Cypress' Craig Deihl
Cypress Restaurant's executive chef Craig Deihl came oh-so-close to being the next in a long line of Charleston chefs to pull in a James Beard award.
Alas, it was not to be.
However, the attention has earned Deihl a bronze star of sorts in the form of some local attention: The Post and Courier has published a nice Q&A with the chef about what makes him stand out.
The paper also published a more in-depth profile way back in 2009.
