Songwriters in the Round - July 12th at 7:30pm

More like a back porch get together than a performance, well-known southern songwriter "Big Frank" Wadell returns to the ARTworks stage, along with some songwriter pals.  Raised int he upstate and now a Lowcountry resident, "Big Frank" has played guitar and written songs for over forty years.  He performsa repertoire that he describes as "americana Folk and comedy". 

Joining Frank onstage will be Ed Hunnicutt and David Owens, both from the Charleston are.  Ed says his music is "influenced by Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams and James Taylor" and he has penned songs for such country luminaries as Willie Nelson, Brooks and Dunn, Mickey Gilley and the Oak Ridge Boys.  The third member of the trio, David Owens, is perhaps best known as a writer of the "Dirty JObs" TV show theme song, which he co-wrote with show host Mike Rowe.  However, David also has had a 30 year music career, playing at festivals and venues from Key West to Port Townsend, WA. 

All three songwriters are looking forward to performing in Beaufort, where they know that the audience will appreciate music and stories that pluck your heartstrings one moment and tickles your funny bone the next.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, July 12 at 7:30pm at ARTworks.  Tickets are $17, with discounts for students and groups of 10 or more.
