Score a free donut during National Donut Day

No matter how you spell it, the idea of a free round dessert with a hole punched in the middle sure sounds good to us.
Today, Friday, June 1, is National Donut Day, and both Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts are doing promos.
Sadly there are no Krispy Kreme locations in town, but Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away a free donut if you buy a beverage.
There is a Dunkin' Donuts on Boundary Street in Beaufort (and another on Hilton Head Island and in Hardeeville; map).
Also, don't forget that local shop Lowcountry Produce Market and Cafe on Carteret Street has tasty doughnuts — sadly they're not free today, but still delicious.
