As local foreclosure numbers surge, questions on accuracy

The percent increase in foreclosures has surged during the end of 2011 and start of 2012 — up 40% statewide and up almost 50% in Beaufort County — but real estate insiders say the numbers may mislead as a backlog of foreclosure was created in the wake of non-appropriate "robo-signed" foreclosures.
