The field at the park is getting ready for its annual beating, like the Taste of Beaufort.

If you went down to the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park yesterday, you likely saw the main field turned into a mini-beach. The Island Packet notes (and shares a fun photo) that it was all as part of plans to prep and smooth the field for the busy festival season, and perhaps some better bocce ball playing.
