Blue Mudd performs as part of New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music in Beaufort
Blue Mudd digs deep down in their Lowcountry roots as they explore a diverse repertoire of Americana. On Wednesday, June 6th the Beaufort, South Carolina based band brings their soulful style to the Piccolo Spoleto Festival during a performance at Gennaro’s in North Charleston.
Bandleader, Vic Varner, crafts an array of styles with his resonant baritone and guitar showcasing tunes that span the first half of the 20th century. Adam Granade’s double bass heats up the musical brew which features Beek Webb’s mandolin, Jevon Daly’s fiddle and Roger Bellow’s lead guitar. Their music is described as “a fun blend delivering a soulful style of acoustic jazz and blues.”
Special guests to perform on stage with the band include James Moody, Amanda Brewer, Ann Oden and John Oden.
