U.S. 17 ribbon cutting postponed (update: It's been rescheduled)

Updated January 14: The ribbon cutting has been rescheduled for 3 p.m., Feb. 10 "under the Oaks at Gardens Corner."

From a county press release: "Parking will be accommodated at the Seabrook Classics furniture building at the Gardens Corner Interchange.  From either north or south, take US 17 to US 21 South.  Upon merging onto US 21, the driveway for Seabrook Classics will be immediately on the right.  Please look for the attendant." 

Reported December 15: A ceremonial ribbon cutting that had been scheduled for Friday to mark the completion of the U.S. 17/Gardens Corner project has been postponed indefinitely, according to Beaufort County's public information office.

"The ribbon cutting has been postponed at the recommendation of the contractor," emailed Beaufort County PIO Suzanne Larson.
