In school and looking to freshen up your chops in the field of visual journalism? Well you're in luck, we have a summer internship opening.

TheDigitel is an online newspaper done right that aims to connect the Beaufort community to local stories. To do this we both cover the community in words, photos, videos and maps, and report on what other publications are writing. 

An internship with us will allow you to not only improve your traditional journalism skills, but give you unique perspective and experience on emerging media, social media and Web technologies. 

Applicants should be familiar with either writing or media production, and have an interest in both fields. Experience with content management systems like WordPress and Drupal are a significant plus. 

Send a brief statement of introduction and interest to beaufort@thedigitel.com with a subject line of "Beaufort Internship." Be sure to state if you are looking for academic credit, number of hours available, any goals, and calendar availability.

It is not necessary for you to be in Beaufort the full summer.
