Update, evening: The fire was under control in just an hour or so, though it all looked pretty grim. 

We'll look for official word on what occurred in the a.m.

First reporting, 5 p.m.: Port Royal and Burton authorities are working a pretty involved house fire on Broad River Drive in Shell Point.

Not much else to report now, but from what you can see, this fire is pretty bad.
