Carriage companies upset about tourism-reform process in Beaufort (update)

Update August 6: The Island Packet has chimed in with their opinion, saying that the Tourism Management Advisory Committee is breaking the rules by dicussing the carriage matter behind closed doors. 

Additionally, the paper says that the city's leaders ought to be keeping a closer eye on how these smaller groupy opperate to be sure they're opeying key rules.

First reporting August 1: Local carriage company owners are upset that their voices aren't being heard at municipal meetings, and poteintally leaving them out of a process that could dictate how they do business.

Beaufort is debating whether or not the city's carriage companies should be forcably merged into one company for better oversite and other changes to how the companies should be run.
