90 minutes after visibility warning, bicyclist fatally struck near Beaufort air station

Detron Jenkins was stopped by a Beaufort County Sheriff's deputy and warned that biking along the side of a highway at night is dangerous without any illumination or visible clothing. And just some 90 minutes later he was stuck by a car and killed.

Not mentioned in that story is that as of 2008 S.C. law requires all bikes to have a front light and rear reflector when used at night.
