Good news, Priceline.com has confirmed what we already know to be true: Savannah and Charleston are among this year's top 50 Labor Day destinations.

The travel website released the list based on "more than 30,000 hotel room booking requests made on priceline.com’s Name Your Own Price hotel service."

While it's unreasonable to expect Beaufort to rank with much larger cities included in the Priceline ranking, all you vacationers should know that we're just a short drive away offer just as much Southern charm and history, and are just a small and very worthwhile detour.

Here's where Savannah, Charleston and Atlanta ranked on the top 50 list:
