The University of South Carolina Beaufort mens baseball team crashed out of the Sun Conference tournament thursday, May 5 with 6-3 loss to St. Thomas University.

Fresh off of their 100th victory against local rivals Savannah College of Art and Design, the USCB Sandsharks were off to another quick start after Gabe Torres, who finished 3-for-4 with all three RBI's on the night, drove in David O'Neil and another for a quick 2-0 going into the second inning. That lead would last until the fifth inning, until freshman pitcher Stephen Richards gave up two runs before being replaced by Andres Castro and Alexander Graham, who also surrendered two runs each.

Although USCB would score another run late in the 7th, a comeback never materialized, and the Sandsharks were left to swallow a season ending loss, dropping their average to 29-21 with a 13-14 record in the conference.
