Brook Dixon, the varsity baseball coach for Beaufort High School, announced at an awards banquet in front of his players, their parents, and his peers Tuesday, May 16, that he will step down from his position in time for next year.

Dixon had been the head coach at the high school organization for seven years and working at the school for another two, but said he is stepping down to spend more time with his family and is apparently looking forward to the off-time.
