Updated June 25: The Island Packet has a report that the gator stuck in the storm drain has been freed.

The incredible thing is some are saying it may have been stuck in there for months. And this is the first we're hearing of it? 

Reported June 24: The Island Packet has a report of an alligator that apparently is stuck in a storm drain out at Hilton Head Plantation.

We'll shoot you right over to the story by clicking here, but allow me to say I have to agree with one of the first commentors who questions why authorities don't just put the 'gator out of its misery.
