Shannon Erickson, state-house represented for Beaufort County, has been made an honorary Alumnia by the University of South Carolina Beaufort.

When Rep. Erickson earned her BS in Education, USCB was only a two year institution, yet she still took the majority of her classes on the USCB Historic Beaufort campus before completing her degree at USC Aiken.

"Rep. Erickson's connections to USCB and her personal relationships with our faculty and students have benefited us all.  It is exciting to formally acknowledge her connection to us and her service to the University" said USCB Student Body Vice President Taylor Mason, who presented her with the award.
