Beaufort City Council meeting to address proposed Olive Garden site

Following up on last week's workshop, the Tuesday, January 25, Beaufort City Council meeting caries only two agenda items and both tie into the proposed Olive Garden site.

While we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see just how this plays out, it appears that a pair of zoning amendments will pave the way for the needed conditions to construct a restaurant with a much debated "slip road" along Boundary Street.

Among other changes the proposed new "lot type E" for the Marsh Gardens PUD will allow for buildings as short as 20 feet and up to 32 feet back from the main road.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at 1911 Boundary Street.
