Would a ferry service connecting Hilton Head Island to Daufuskie and Beaufort to Savannah work in Beaufort County?

The Beaufort County Council is willing to study the viability of such a proposal - again, according to The Island Packet.

County officials say they're considering approaching Savannah to share the cost of the study. You can read the Packet's report here.

Since the Packet last week reported the ferry study proposal its editorial department has chimed in saying, in essence, that the new study will yield the same results. The Packet says the costs and logistics just don't make sense, and they're probably right.
