Although their lobbying attempts to change the rules regarding short-term rentals in Beaufort failed earlier this year, John and Erica Dickerson might have just found away to get what they want after all.

The Dickerson's submitted paperwork to the Beaufort County Council last week that would, if approved, rezone their 1004 Duke street property into a commercial zone. The change would therefore allow short-term rentals in the area.

County Council is set to vote on the issue soon, so be sure to check back for updates on the results.
