Historic Beaufort Foundation leader leaves as group looks to get more aggressive

Two years back in August 2010, the Historic Beaufort Foundation announced the hiring of Julia Paige Wylie Good as the private nonprofit's executive director. Earlier this week the group's board approved her resignation.

No one is saying publicly why Good is out, but thinking is there were differences in the overall group's push to become more confrontational with the City of Beaufort over rezoning that could open up more development in the downtown area that doesn't explicitly mimic the traditional Lowcountry style. (For insight into that debate, I'll point you to this piece on the Bladen Street debate.)
