Carteret Street Businesses on Beaufort's other main street get some love from Southern Living

Wren, City Loft Hotel, Breakwater, M Home & Garden, and the visitor's center at the Arsenal; they've all opened in the last couple years and all show signs of significant work to their spaces to make them shine, particularly so in the case of City Loft.

The Red Carpet Inn used to be the cheap option where you'd feel iffy on a bath, and the City Loft has turned it into a trendy boutique hotel where you can't not take advantage of the awesome bathtubs.

And it's those sorts of things that have earned those businesses and the street they're all on (or just off of) a page in the November issue of Southern Living.

Wren gets love for its "Lowcountry accents paired well with fresh flavors," Breakwater for its "upscale dining room" and "small bites with big flavor," and City Loft for its transformation of a "1960s motor lodge into an urban boutique hotel."

Unfortunately you can't see it online but here's a copy of the page.
