On New Year's Eve in 2007, 46-year-old Jesse Greer died while he was under the custody of the Beaufort County Detention Center. 

And now a pair of lawsuit's lodged by Greer's widow have been settled by the county and the detention center's medical provider Southern Health Partners, to the total tune of $284,500.
