Update June 2: Preliminary results of the autopsy show that the body found over the weekend is missing Masako Yamaguchi Miller.

However there are no official suspects in the case yet and the cause of death has yet to be determined.

I've see two robust reports on the latest: at The Island Packet and at WTOC 11.

We'll keep you current.

First reporting June 1: Hampton Police and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division have taken an interest in the body that was found in a tidal mud area near the crossings of Archer's Creek and the Broad River (map below) on Monday, May 30.

Autopsy results likely won't be available until sometime today, but there's a suspicion that it could be the body of missing Masako Yamaguchi Miller, a  34-year-old Japanese-American that has been missing since the 25th.

Many reports abound, but The Island Packet has by far the most robust one; read it here.
