Profiling downtown Beaufort's Pruitt's Grocery, and its robbery

Spotted a rather odd mix of a story coming from The Island Packet, it's half crime story and half a slice of history.

Pruitt's Grocery in downtown's Northwest Quadrant neighborhood was robbed on October 9th, something the 78-year-old owner, James W. Pruitt, says has only happened twice in since he's owned the spot since 1953, and this is the only time anyone has taken money.

Head on over to the paper to read about the incident, and, um, the hours when you can drop by to get some sliced meat from downtown's last corner store.

The store is at 1114 Greene Street.
