The U.S. Navy is moving forward with construction plans related to the pending arrival of F-35Bs at MCAS Beaufort, according to The Island Packet.

According to the Packet the Navy is expected to make a determination on a lead contractor by the end of March. You can read the Packet writeup here.

The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce in one of its past weekly emails has stated that it plans on holding spring work sessions for local subcontractors interested in handling a piece of what could be more than $100 million in construction.

We'll update you with the dates for those seminars as we hear about them.
