Updated April 22: The Island Packet has a report that a settlement has been reached in this case.

Check it out here.

Update February 10: WTOC travelled up to D.C. for the start of the hearings.

Though the video report is short, it will give you a feel for it; see it here.

Update February 9: This one's not over yet and the snowball is hitting Congress today.

The Island Packet has a follow about Rowles going before Congress to push for stronger protection to service members; take a read of the story here.

First reporting: Remember the recent news about how Chase landed in hot water over illegally pursuing loan payments and foreclosures of homes owned by active military families?

Well it turns out that a Beaufort Marine, Capt. Jonathon Rowles, helped spark the suit and was pushed to do so after receiving endless phone calls and not being able to reach someone to talk about the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act's protections.

The Island Packet has a profile on Rowles' situation and what actions he took; take a read here.
