Beaufort County charity takes highest 'angel' mark in annual state list

Some charities are nice with your donated dollars, and some aren't letting the cost of doing business gobble up your donations. 

So each year the South Carolina Secretary of State releases a list of charities operating in South Carolina and tells of the top Angels and the top Scrooges. This year Beaufort County charity, Family Promise, posted a staggering 99.9% donation-to-deed rate.

The charity helps people find housing in Beaufort County, and offers support to help people maintain travel to their jobs, raising families, and other basic needs like a phone number and physical address. 

No other Beaufort County charities made the good or bad lists. (Those recognized below are listed in alphabetical order, and are not ranked by the Secretary of State.)
