Chamber: Tourism business is good on Hilton Head

As it was forecast to be.
WSAV caught up with Communications Director Charlie Clark of the Hilton Head Island Chamber of Commerce and chatted about the strength of the local tourism industry.
In a nutshell: up 7% from last April, and up 2% year-over-year. To top it off, 2010 was an up year, too.

One of my big questions — which would be rather hard to answer — is how much of the local increase would be thanks to Hilton Head being a relatively cheaper vacation option?
