Meet the candidates running to represent the Coastal District

Update: A quick reminder that the meetings are ongoing, if you haven't been able to make them (or won't be able to), you can catch a recap of the candidates at a joint meeting in Berkeley County.

Earlier I posted on the whopping 19 candidates running for the vacant S.C. House seat for the 1st Congressional District, luckily Beaufort residents will also get the chance to meet most candidates in person.

Local state Rep. Shannon Erickson has organized a series of public sessions at the Technical College of the Lowcountry where two candidates will be featured each night from January 31 to March 7.

Here's the line up:

  • Thursday, January 31: Rep. Chip Limehouse (R) 6p.m. / Ms. Elizabeth Moffly (R) 7p.m.
  • Monday February 4: Governor Mark Sanford (R) 6 p.m. / Mr. Teddy Turner (R) 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 7: Sheriff Ray Nash (R) 6 p.m. / Mr. Jeffrey King (R) 7 p.m.
  • Monday, February 11: Councilman Curtis Bostic (R) 6 p.m. / Senator John Kuhn (R) 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 21: TBA 6 p.m. / Senator Larry Grooms (R) 7 p.m.
  • Monday, February 25: TBA 6 p.m. / TBA 7 p.m.
  • Monday, March 4: Mr. Keith Blandford (R) 6 p.m. / Representative Peter McCoy (R) 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 7: Representative Andy Patrick (R) 6 p.m. and TBA 7 p.m.
