With Christmas Day fast approaching, the holiday spirit is making its way into all corners of Beaufort County. Heres a sampling of some of the more interesting holiday events on offer this christmas:

The Penn Center on St. Helena Island is continuing its long-standing tradition of hosting an annual "nativity scene" musical which includes traditional christmas carols being performed alongside ancient gullah spirituals songs. The musical will be held in the Frissel House on Friday, December 18th at 6:30pm. St. Andrew by-the-sea Methodist Church is holding a candlelight service on Friday, December 24th at 4:30 pm. Following the service will be a retelling of Jesus' birth by children through the point of view of animals in the stable. Musical performances by the church choir and and 9pm ceremony will conclude the nights festivities. The church is located on 20 Pope Ave on Hilton Head Island.
